Visiting the PKM Network in Soe, East Nusa Tenggara
In May, one of the Pijar teams was invited to provide training on catfish cultivation, making herbal drinks and increasing the value of fishery products by making shredded catfish. We are grateful for the cooperation that exists between institutions in Soe. The government is also starting to see the impact of the Community Development programs carried out, so several programs are starting to be assisted by local governments.
In June, another member of the Pijar team had the opportunity to return to Soe to visit several PKM networks in Soe. During this visit, several activities were carried out, such as distributing parenting materials to parents of early childhood education students in Nonohonis Village; and distributing WCL (Women Cycle of Life) materials in Hane Village and at the Ume Manekam Mission Clinic. This meeting is very important because of the need to educate the public about women's health and the role of women in the family. Apart from distributing these materials, the visit was also carried out to provide institutional strengthening, especially in applying PKM principles to PKM network colleagues in Soe.
