TOT-1 Online: PKM Method
For more than a year we have been living with the COVID-19 pandemic. It is not over and we must not give up. In February Pijar held an online training for holistic community development. There were 21 participants who took part in the training and they came from various places in Indonesia, such as Jakarta, West Java, Sumatra, South Kalimantan, Mamasa and Yogyakarta. We are grateful that even though the training was carried out online, it did not reduce the enthusiasm of the participants and the training could still be delivered in a participatory manner.
The training was held on February 22th - 26th, 2021 using Zoom. During 5 days, the online PKM TOT1 training was carried out for about 4 hours per day. It was not easy for the participants to complete the online training, especially as it was a long time in a virtual meeting.
However, we are grateful they remained enthusiastic, participating in the training until it finished. One participant from South Kalimantan had to go to the city every day to get a stable network. It took about 45 minutes to get to the nearest city. We saw the extraordinary commitment of all participants even though it was held online. The training went well and we heard many inspirational stories. Currently the Pijar team continues to provide assistance to encourage participants to implement the PKM program in their respective communities.
